Releasing Today: Whistle and Khaidi

Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay's Whistle and another Tamil top hero Karthi's Khaidi are hitting screens today. Both the films have generated good pre release buzz.

Whistle is a sports social drama in which Vijay sported the coach of Women's football team. Though his role appears to be different, the makers ensured all commercial elements included in the film to attract all sections. Tamil top director Atlee wielded megaphone for this crazy project while Nayantara played lead actress. AR Rahman composed tunes. AGS Entertainment has produced the film.

Karthi's Khaidi was made as an action thriller which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Narain  and George Maryan played other key roles. Sam CS composed tunes. Dream Warrior Pictures is the production House. 

Although many Tamil heroes got significant victories in Telugu states with their dubbed versions of films, Vijay is indebted to score a resounding hit in Telugu states. On the other hand, it was since a long time ago, Karthi scored a hit in Telugu states. As such, the successes of Whistle and Khaidi are important for both the heroes.
