Tamil Films Cashing On D Sentiment

Tollywood doesn’t consider Diwali a good time for films release. Cashing on this, Tamil films attack Telugu screens almost every year for the festival of lights. This year too, few Tamil dubbing films are releasing here. Vijay’s Whistle and Karthi’s Khaidi are hitting the screens for Diwali.

Although dubbing films did not show their power at Telugu box office of late, both Whistle and Khaidi are carrying positive buzz. In fact, promotional content of both the films created good impression.

Whistle is the third time collaboration of Vijay and Atlee who earlier came up with two hits Theri (Police in Telugu) and Mersal (Adirindi in Telugu). Vijay plays dual roles as a women football team coach and an old man.

Karthi who has decent market in Telugu is coming up with a mass action entertainer Khaidi directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Bollywood’s multi-starrer Housefull 4 is also releasing for Diwali on October 25th. Thupaki Ramudu starring Bithiri Sathi is the only straight Telugu film releasing for the festival.
