Rock Star Devi Sri Prasad is one of the favorite music directors for director Harish Shankar. The star composer gave foot-tapping tunes for Gabbar Singh and Duvvada Jagannatham. Harish Shankar planned to repeat the combo and with supreme confidence, he even released the poster with Devi Sri Prasad's name.
But for some reason, Mickey J Meyer entered the scene replacing Devi Sri Prasad. This triggered rumors that all was not well between Harish Shankar and Devi Sri Prasad. However, Harish Shankar has now revealed the real reason behind the developments.
He said, "After releasing the poster I met Devi Sri Prasad in Chennai and there arose a problem. I told him that we planned to remake 'Velluvochi Godaramma' song for Gaddalakonda Ganesh for which Devi Sri Prasad said it was his policy not to tune for remixes and till now he never tried it and refused the offer saying he will not do remix songs even in future."
Harish Shankar said, "I decided not to trouble DSP by pressurizing him to change his sentiment after tuning for 70 films. At the same time, since I felt that the remix song is necessary to the film story, I decided to have another music director and finalized Mickey J Meyer".
Mickey J Meyer, however, did his part efficiently by composing mass tunes for the film. The remix of Velluvochi got tremendous response.
