Opinion: Sye Raa Killed Gaddalakonda Ganesh!

Valmiki aka Gaddalakonda Ganesh showed mega prince Varun Tej in never seen before mass avatar. The actor underwent incredible physical makeover and grew beard to play the role of Gaddalakonda Ganesh and he was successful in his attempt to play a negative role as he won accolades from all corners.

The film directed by Harish Shankar was off to great start setting cash registers ringing in its first week. It held well in second week as well, until the arrival of Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s highly anticipated film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy in theaters on October 2nd.

Ever since the makers of Sye Raa began promotional campaign, Gaddalakonda Ganesh promotions were stopped completely. It was indeed mark of respect for mega star and his magnum opus. After that, they never indulge in any publicity events.

What’s more, the makers of Gaddalakonda Ganesh agreed to allot many theaters to Sye Raa during its release. In fact, due to all these reasons, Gaddalakonda Ganesh slowed down at the box office from second week.

Trade pundits predicted Gaddalakonda Ganesh to become a blockbuster. But, Sye Raa has somehow killed the film’s prospects and now the Varun Tej starrer is ending as a decent hit.

Pooja Hegde, Atharvaa Murali and Mirnalini Ravi played other lead roles in Gaddalakonda Ganesh for which music was scored by Mickey J Meyer.
