Jersey Hindi Remake: Commercialized

Despite receiving super positive response, Natural Star Nani’s previous flick Jersey ended as an above average grosser. Due to various factors like similarities with Naga Chaitanya’s Majili and lack of commercial ingredients, Jersey did not perform that well at the box office, though the entire cast and crew won appreciations.

Telugu star producers Allu Aravind and Dil Raju along with Aman Gill will be producing the Bollywood remake of Jersey with Shahid Kapoor stepping into the shoes of Nani. Original version director Gowtam Tinnanuri will direct the Hindi version as well. What’s more, they announced to release the film on August 28th, 2020.

Many opined that, slowness in screenplay in middle portion and romantic track were the biggest drawbacks of Jersey. Meanwhile, Nani made it clear that, there will be some changes in the script for Hindi version and more commercial elements are added.

Apparently, Gowtam Tinnanuri wants to utilize the opportunity to prove his mettle in Bollywood, so he is adding some magical moments to the script.
