Sye Raa: Any Possibility of Tax Exemption?

88 years of Indian film history has been invigorated with many classics, master pieces and commercial blockbusters. However, very few films ignited patriotic fervour among people. 

Megastar Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimhareddy is said to be one film that has great patriotic content which deals with an unsung story of the first freedom fighter and the war of independence which broke out much before the official first war of independence in 1857. It is said that the director visualised the exact situation when the British ruled our country and how the British harassed the people and made them slaves. At that framework, how the great patriots like Narasimhareddy tried to save people and nation from the British was said to have been shot in an awestruck manner by the director. 

Sye Raa might have been included with some commercial elements and some cinematic liberties to attract the audience. Yet, an outstanding experiment must be supported by the governments at the need of the hour. 

Earlier, some underrated films were also given entertainment tax exemption by the previous governments of AP. Considering those films, Sye Raa deserves a lot to get exempted from tax. In fact, such an encouragement gives boost to other filmmakers to make more number of patriotic films to inspire people. 

It is said that AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telangana CM KCR are 'Kalaabhimanulu'. Especially, Sakshi media maintains neutral stand in reporting movies unlike some yellow media. All in all, it's hoped that the governments of Telugu states would support Sye Raa ensuring tax exemption in future.
