It is known that, the kin of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy filed a PIL in the Hyderabad High Court to direct the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to not issue censor certificate for Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, a biopic on Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy.
The case came for hearing today in the Hyderabad High Court. Censor Board affirmed that Sye Raa hasn’t been granted Censor Certificate yet. The High Court stays the hearing to the next Monday.
The film’s director Surender Reddy who was also present made an interesting comment. Much to the shock of all, he said that Sye Raa is not a biopic of freedom fighter Uyyalavada Narasimha Reddy.

However, the makers did not keep their promise, he asserts.
The movie that will release in four languages on October 2nd also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi, Kicha Sudeep, Nayanthara and Tamannaah in pivotal roles.
