One of the all time legendary heroes of Indian film history, Big B Amitabh Bachchan was conferred Dada Saheb Phalke Award by the union government on Tuesday, September 24.
The minister of Information & Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar took to his Twitter account and posted, "The legend Amitabh Bachchan who entertained and inspired for 2 generations has been selected unanimously for #DadaSahabPhalke award. The entire country and international community is happy. My heartiest Congratulations to him."
Amitabh Bachchan made his film debut with Saath Hindusthani in 1969. He ruled Bollywood as a number one hero for two decades. He is busy working for films even today. Amitabh Bachchan played Megastar Chiranjeevi's guru, Gosayi Venkanna in Sye Raa Narasimhareddy which is slated for release on October 2 world wide.
