Why She Rejected Aravinda Sametha?

Yesteryear actress Laya during her heydays romanced almost all the top stars of Tollywood and with her performances she drew comparisons with late actress Soundarya. She made her return to silver screen couple of years back playing an important role in Mass Maharaja Raviteja's Amar Akbar Antony.

It is known that Laya earlier rejected an offer to star in Young Tiger NTR's Aravinda Sametha directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Revealing the reason behind rejecting it, Laya said even earlier she got roles which were elder to her age. Many advised her against doing such roles as she still looks young and suits the roles of sister, sister in law etc. So in that way she refused a role in NTR's Aravinda Sametha.

Laya said she would like to do the roles played by Nayanthara, Anushka and Vidya Balan. She said she liked the films Rudramadevi and Mahanati. Laya says she feels bad for not getting the opportunity to romance Mega Star Chiranjeevi, Victory Venkatesh and King Nagarjuna in her career.
