Dashing director Puri Jagannath worked with almost all the top stars in Tollywood, except for megastar Chiranjeevi with whom he is dreaming to associate with. In fact, Puri was the original choice to direct Chiru’s 150h film and the director even registered a title Auto Johnny.

But, the film’s producer Ram Charan who was not convinced with the second half of the script had shelved the project. VV Vinayak got the opportunity to direct Chiranjeevi’s 150h film Khaidi No 150 which was a non-Baahubali hit.

Not just this one, but Puri Jagannath lost few other projects with stars owing to various reasons. He openly expressed his anger on Mahesh Babu for refusing his Jana Gana Mana script. The director who just delivered a blockbuster iSmart Shankar is gearing up to work with Vijay Devarakonda for a film titled Fighter.

As we reported earlier, Puri prepared the story long ago and approached few stars. But, nobody actually showed interest. Allu Arjun who first heard the story did not like the concept for protagonist having the problem of stutter. Then, NTR who liked hero’s character but had issues with the script too had refused the film. Finally, Vijay Devarakonda came on board.

Now, it is reliably learnt that, both NTR and Mahesh Babu ditched Puri by pirating his two different ideas for their films. NTR allegedly copied the idea of stammer to protagonist in Jai Lava Kusa.

The traffic violation scene in Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu was allegedly copied from Jana Gana Mana script penned by Puri Jagannath.

Interestingly, Puri Jagannath did not blame any stars who ditched him by pirating his ideas for their films.
