Happening hero Vijay Devarakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Dear Comrade directed by first timer Bharat Kamma under Mythri Movie Makers Banner is turning out to be a commercial flop. Although the film unit trimmed 13 minutes of the film and included Canteen song, nothing is boosting the film collections.
It is known that, Bollywood ace filmmaker Karan Johar acquired Dear Comrade Hindi remake rights, after watching the film in a special screening. He is said to have shelled out Rs 6 crores to grab the rights.
Actually, Karan Johar wanted to cast Vijay Devarakonda in Hindi version as well. But, the Genex Star is not keen on starring in remakes. Although he too is enthusiastic to make Bollywood debut, he is looking for a perfect script.
Karan Johar is willing to introduce Vijay Devarakonda to Bollywood. But, when he put the proposal of remaking Dear Comrade with Vijay, the young hero told him to come up with a different subject.
