Death Threats Scared Mahesh Sister

Manjula is well known to movie lovers as Super Star Krishna's daughter as an actress, producer. Speaking to scribes the eler sister of Mahesh Babu made startling revelation saying she was slated to become a heroine longtime back but fans death threats forced her to abort her plans.

She said, “The makers of Balakrishna's Top Hero planned to cast me as the heroine. However, it did not materialize due to death threats from father Krishna's diehard fans. Had it not happened, I would have made my acting debut in 1994."

It is known that Balakrishna romanced Soundarya in Top Hero directed by SV Krishna Reddy. Throwing more light on the death threats, Manjula revealed, “The moment fans got to know that I got offer in Top Hero, they came with black masks and petrol cans to the studio and stood in front of father and argued, 'If Manjula acts we will self immolate'. I did not act respecting all of them as my brothers."

Later Manjula turned producer with Pokiri and Ye Maya Chesave and turned director with Manasuku Nachchindi. She even starred in films like Show, Orange and Sevakudu.
