Super Star Mahesh Babu's upcoming entertainer Sarileru Neekevvaru is progressing at a brisk pace under the direction of Anil Ravipudi. The film's regular shoot kick started recently in the exotic locations of Kashmir. Mahesh is playing the role of Army Major Ajay Krishna in the film and is romancing Sandalwood beauty Rashmika Mandanna.
In the meantime, Jagapathi Babu who is supposed to play an important role in the film walked out even before joining the shoot. As per reports, he was not happy with his director for trimming his role. But now it is coming out that Mahesh Babu prefers his old friend for the role. Prakash Raj who is always the first choice for Mahesh Babu is roped in to replace Jagapathi Babu.
The makers erected a train set in Annapurna Studios earlier to cane the train journey scene. They are now erecting a village set worth Rs 3 crs in RFC, Hyderabad.
Mahesh of late has been preferring to shoot in the extravagantly erected sets rather than shoot outdoors. Some say, the makers have taken this decision due to security issue while others say they are following a sentiment. In his previous films Srimanthudu, Bharat Ane Nenu and Spyder, the makers erected extravagant sets.
