Vijay Devarakonda scored hits with Yevade Subrahmanyam and Pelli Choopulu, but it was Arjun Reddy which made him an overnight star. He became a heartthrob among youth after the stupendous success of Geetha Govindam. Now, all eyes are on his next outing Dear Comrade which is slated for release on 26th July in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
Recently, Vijay Devarakonda’s brother Anand Devarakonda made his acting debut with a periodic romantic entertainer Dorasani which got mixed response from critics and audience alike. Both Anand and Shivatmika won appreciation of all. But, the film’s collections are not up to the mark.
Actually, Vijay Devarakonda initially did not show much interest when Anand expressed his wish of entering films. He wanted his brother to look after his businesses like clothing brand and other since he is well aware of the struggles in industry.
But, Anand didn’t give up and his uncle Yash Rangineni too encouraged him with the offer of Dorasani. The youngster stunned movie buffs with his stripping act in his very first film. But, nothing is helping the film to witness growth in collections, despite vigorous promotions from the makers.
Now, it is learnt that, Vijay Devarakonda who literally lost hopes on the film gave his brother Anand Devarakonda a valuable advice. Vijay is said to have told his brother to take some gap and go for complete makeover in the meantime.
Many felt, Anand doesn’t have the charming personality and face value like his brother. Vijay too feels things will not work out with this look. So, he wants his brother to come up strongly with his second film. Vijay also suggested Anand o take up youth appealing subjects next time and not to do offbeat films like Dorasani.
