What Promise YS Made To Super Star?

Veteran actor and filmmaker Vijaya Nirmala's demise left entire Tollywood shell-shocked. Super Star Krishna speaking to scribes, after Vijaya Nirmala got Raghupati Venkaiah Award said, had late CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy been alive, Nirmala would have definitely got Padmabhushan.

“Though we never asked awards, he remembered my achievements in the film industry and took the initiative and ensured that I got Padmabhushan. He even promised to get Padmabhushan award to Nirmala after a gap of two years. However, he passed away and she did not get the award. We never ran after awards and it is sufficient that we have people's love and recognition."

Vijaya Nirmala directed 44 films to become the first female director to enter the Guinness book of world records in 2002 for this distinction. Krishna and Vijaya Nirmala acted together in 47 films during their career which spanned over five decades.
