Valmiki Gets Boya Shock

Mega Prince Varun Tej who last entertained along with Venkatesh in a multi starrer F2 (Fun & Frustration) is currently starring in the remake of Tamil hit Jigarthanda. The film is titled Valmiki and is progressing at a brisk pace under the direction of Harish Shankar.

The film unit started its latest schedule in Anantapur after wrapping its shooting in Kurnool. The film stars Krishna Manjusha, a software engineer as a heroine opposite Varun Tej. Pooja Hegde, Atharvaa Murali and Mrunalini Ravi are playing important roles in the film.

In the meantime it is coming out that Boya community disrupted the film's shooting opposing the film's title. Harish Shankar tried to convince them that the story does not insult their community and in no way related to great Sage Valmiki who penned the Hindu epic Ramayana.

But with the protestors unrelenting, Harish Shankar canceled the film shoot and returned back to Hyderabad. Valmiki is all about a goon who reforms into a normal man. Harish Shankar is now planning the film's next schedule in Chevella.
