Mallesham, a biopic on Chintakindi Mallesham who came with a weaving machine for the benefit of the handloom workers is winning the hearts of the critics and the movie lovers alike.
The films lead actors like Priyadarshi, Ananya Nagalla and Jhansi are praised for their performances. Ananya who captured the imagination of all for her looks and realistic performance, revealed that at first she was rejected by Mallesham director Raj Rachakonda. She said during the auditions when Raj asked her to perform like Samantha in Mahanati climax, he rejected her as he felt that she overdid Samantha a bit in the climax.
Ananya who works in Infosys as a techie said however she worked hard by taking leave from her profession and finally convinced Raj to cast her in the role. She said knowing that she was practicing a lot and even trying hard to look as a village girl by draping herself in a saree, practicing Telangana accent, Raj coming to know about it, cast her in the role.
She revealed that however already many advised Raj against casting her expressing their opposition saying a glamorous looking girl like her may not suit the role.
Ananya Nagalla revealed that she worked hard by reading the script 30-40 times and sitting in the corner during the shoot in the sets of Mallesham. She recollected excitedly how people in Telangana are calling her as 'Maa Bangaram'.
