Their Cry On Arjun Reddy Or Baahubali!

Vijay Devarakonda, Shalini Pandey's Arjun Reddy created a sensation in Tollywood. The film was remade in Bollywood as Kabir Singh with Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani and is doing extremely well at the box office.

However, many Bollywood celebrities, Censor Board officials and critics are blasting the film for being misogynistic etc. This is making many wonder why Bollywood is crying on Arjun Reddy.

Bollywood is synonymous with Indian Cinema. Though many regional language industries are there, they used to be confined to a particular range. Despite having good content, the makers used to keep confined themselves to the regional market.

This turned out to be a boon for Bollywood which expanded its horizons long time back. But with social media, the trend changes and movie lovers are treated to different genre entertainers. People got exposed to world cinema and this erased all the borders.

After Bollywood, Tollywood used to come with films that match their quality. However acceptance and market used to be limited. But the sensation of Baahubali changed the market dimensions completely.

Tollywood filmmakers too started coming with films like C/O Kancherapalem, etc. Vijay Devarakonda who till then got recognition with Pelli Choopulu, starred in Arjun Reddy under debutante Sandeep Reddy Vanga's direction. The film turned out to be a blockbuster and Vijay turned became an overnight star.

Many even criticized Arjun Reddy before its release for the bold posters, trailers etc. They questioned the lip-locks and also the abusive language used by the hero. However the same after watching the film were dumbstruck with the content. They certified the film as an emotional love story.

Bollywood makers keeping this in mind had acquired the remake rights and came with Kabir Singh. But what is surprising all is the blatant and over the board criticism on Kabir Singh.

This is making many wonder what is one finding wrong with the story that is having such strong emotional content. If that only lip-locks and abuses are the reason, then, there is a point with Tollywood movie lovers criticizing since they are used to traditional films.

But Bollywood is used to such liplocks and abuses. The liplocks in Arjun Reddy is not more than what were there in Murder between Mallika Sherawat and Emran Hashmi. There are many more such films where intense lip-locks, intimate scenes and adult dialogues were there.

Many feel Bollywood critics and celebrities are crying on Arjun Reddy as Baahubali erased the notion that Bollywood itself signifies Indian cinema. Baahubali success bought recognition to regional cinema and this fact, the Bollywood fraternity is unable to digest.

Now the craze for Prabhas' Saaho and Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa is shocking them all. That is the reason the Bollywood fraternity is blasting Kabir Singh (Arjun Reddy) without seeing the content and the essence.
