Kabir Singh Hits A Century

Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer latest sensation Kabir Singh directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga might have invited the fury of critics for glamorizing misogyny, but audience have remained unaffected by the criticism as the film is cooking up a storm at the box office.

Despite negative reviews, the film which is a remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy has crossed the Rs 100-crore mark in just 5 days. Kabir Singh earned approximately Rs 16 crore on Tuesday, thus taking the five days total collection to Rs 104 crore.

The film has been on a record-breaking spree ever since the release on June 21st. After becoming the top opener for Shahid Kapoor and top non-holiday opening film of 2019 with Rs 20 crore, the movie broke the record for the biggest Sunday numbers of the year. Toppling Salman Khan’s Bharat by Rs 2 crore, Kabir Singh made close to Rs 28 crore.

Kabir Singh passed Monday test and continued to rake big numbers on Tuesday as well. The film is likely to enter 200 crore club in its lifetime run.
