The biopic on Padma Shri Awardee Chintakindi Mallesham with Priyadarshi in lead captured the imagination of all. Everyone who expressed doubts when the biopic was announced with comedian Priyadarshi in lead, were left awe struck after seeing the performance. The film is winning the appreciation of the critics and movie lovers alike.

However, producer Raj speaking to scribes made sensational revelations about Mallesham. He said, "After readying the script when I thought whom should I cast in the lead role, I felt either Natural Star Nani or Vijay Devarakonda would suit. But both of them are not in a position to give call sheets for the next three years.

When I was scouting, someone suggested Priyadarshi name. But Priyadarshi already attained success as a comedian with Pelli Choopulu. I doubted whether he would suit for the serious role. After watching his performance in Bommala Ramaram, Junoon, I felt he would do justice for the role."

Ananya Nagalla played leading lady in the film directed by Raj Rachakonda.
