Can Chiru Inspire Like Kumar?

Tollywood is blessed with many talented stars but most of them shy away from doing offbeat films. They fear that their fans do not appreciate their efforts and once they deviate from the commercial entertainers, they will be typecast.

So, most of them come with commercial entertainers adding few cosmetic colors in the name of delivering powerful message to the society.

Under these circumstances, people are wondering whether Tollywood stars can emulate Bollywood star Akshay Kumar who shot to fame doing breathtaking action films and commercial potboilers.

Akshay Kumar is doing routine entertainers even now but in between he is coming with powerful message oriented films without any commercial elements. Be it Pad Man inspired by the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, a social entrepreneur from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu who introduced low cost sanitary pads or Toilet: Ek Prem Katha  a satirical comedy in support of governmental campaigns to improve sanitation conditions in India, with an emphasis on the eradication of open defecation, especially in rural areas, Akshay Kumar won the appreciation of all for his sincere efforts.

He also came with patriotic entertainer like Kesari which depicted the events leading to the Battle of Saragarhi, a battle between the British Indian Army and Pashtun tribesmen. During the battle that was fought in the region that today lies in the northern part of Pakistan and Afghanistan, 21 soldiers of the 36th Sikhs of the British Indian Army held off 6,000–10,000 Afridi and Orakzai tribesmen in a heroic last stand and sports based thriller Gold based upon the national hockey team's title at the 1948 Summer Olympics, Akshay Kumar connected chords with the people of the nation.

Tollywood stars rave about giving powerful messages but they forget about their messages quite often than not unlike Akshay Kumar who is the highest tax payer for six consecutive times and who donated generously for Army Jawans through Bharat Ke Veer.

Mega Star Chiranjeevi is starring in the biopic of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, titled Sye Raa. The question is, will Chiranjeevi inspire and motivate Tollywood stars to emulate Akshay Kumar through their actions on and off the screen.
