NTR's Silent Response To His Guru

Senior NTR is known for respecting elders, though he never used to boast about his reverence for them. One day NTR and his brother Trivikram Rao were seriously discussing and NTR who was a great admirer of KV Reddy's work told how one should lean how to do film production from him. He said KV Reddy used to be very particular about cost and never used to waste even a single frame at the script work itself. No where the story tempo goes down at the script stage. NTR remarked it was not easy to achieve perfection like KV Reddy.

As they were discussing, KV Reddy arrived to meet them. Trivikramarao got up and told 'Guruvugaru.. randi.. meeku noorella ayushu' NTR was scared of KV Reddy and never used to utter a word in his presence. He always looks down and humbly listen to his guru's words.

NTR ordered tea to be served and inquired "Guruji ki oka tea.. edaina pani meeda vachchara?" KV Reddy sitting criss crossed on the chair said "Avunappa (his slang), neeto avasaram pade vachchanu.. neeku ibbadavutundemo ani alochistunnanu."

NTR requested "mee daya valla nakem ibbandulu levu. cheppandi" KV Reddy sipping the tea said "right... pilagadu (son) pai chaduvula kosam America vallalantunnadu.. Mari adendoo.. daani kata endo naakanta kotta.. dabbuloo antantamatramegaa.. Okasari ninnu choosi podamani vachcha.. Guruvugarani punnaniki cheyodudule appa.. neeko cinema cheseipetti badulu teerchukunta".

KV Reddy had a unique style. When he was happy, he hused to sit criss cross on chair in a stylish manner, leave two of his shirt buttons open and rub his hand round his neck raising his collar. Savitri too used to feel his style strange.

During the conversation, Trivikram Rao went out. Onion Pakodis were served. NTR started praising KV Reddy's script, direction abilities, treatment and recollected his memorable experiences with him. This continued for half an hour. NTR didnot say a single word and KV Reddy got ready to leave saying "Sare.. Nenostanappaa."

NTR bowed humbly and told "chala santosham guruvugaru. ee vasyasulo meerekkuva sramapadakandi.. meekem kavasinaa memunnamgaa."

KV Reddy didnot ask anything more and NTR didnot tell anything. However all the arrangements required for NTR's guru happened at full pace. This showed the understanding between brothers NTR and Trivikram Rao. KV Reddy got overjoyed at NTR's silent respect for his guru.

KV Reddy too showed his gratitude by keeping his promise directing a blockbuster Sri Krishna Satya for NTR.
