Obscenity In The Name Of Comedy

Human beings are filled with emotions in their hearts and filmmakers try to showcase them on screen in their films to entertain them. When people get connected to those emotions, the films turn out to be blockbusters.

People look for entertainment when they go to theatres and there is no person in the world who wouldn't smile when comedy scenes appear on screen. But enacting comedy is more difficult than enacting tragedy on screen.

Analysts and movie lovers still cannot forget the comedy enacted by Relangi, Allu Ramalingaiah, Padmanabham, Girija, Srilakshmi, Brahmanandam and even top stars like NTR, ANR etc in films like Missamma, Gundamma Katha etc. Even in mythological films like Lava Kusa, there used to be comedy scenes which created a laughing riot.

But of late it seems filmmakers are unable to come with healthy and creative comedy scenes. So they are including obscene, B grade and double meaning dialogues in the name of comedy thus putting off family viewers.

They are under the impression that comedy means making fun of heroines, women characters, lecturers, senior artists, slapping them or making fun of wives in bars, loading the film with umpteen bar scenes with hero and friends surrounded by beer bottles and singing a song. Wonder when they realize the real meaning of healthy comedy.
