Super Star Mahesh Babu and talented maker Sukumar joined hands for a high budget entertainer 1-Nenokkadine which turned out as a disaster, though one section of audience loved it. Sukumar waited for long to prove his mettle another time and he delivered a blockbuster Rangsthalam with mega power star Ram Charan.
Fortunately, Sukumar got the call from Mahesh Babu to come up with a script. Producers of Mythri Movie Makers had set the project. When everyone, especially Mahesh Babu fans quite excited about the project, the super star came up with a shocker saying the film was shelved owing to creative differences. Then, Sukumar approached stylish star Allu Arjun with the same script and the mega hero gave immediate nod.
Mahesh Babu’s 25th film Maharshi pre-release event was organized recently and the actor thanked almost all his directors, but ‘forgot’ the names of Puri Jagannadh and Sukumar. Mahesh later tweeted to thank Puri. But, he didn’t utter a word about Sukumar.
Finally, Mahesh Babu came up with a clarification on this saying, “I forgot the names of directors like Puri Jagannadh and Sukumar, when fans rushed onto the stage. 1 Nenokkadine was a cult classic and remains as one of the best of mine.”
Sukumar told an intense story, while I was waiting for an entertaining one. So, I picked Anil Ravipudi script, instead of Sukku’s. And Sukumar was happy with that. I’ll collaborate with Sukumar in the future for sure.”
When asked why he’s not doing films with young directors, Mahesh explained, “I too wanted to work with young directors. But, no one came with an exciting script till date. It's a false rumor that I don't encourage Young Talent.”
Mahesh Babu is highly assured about Maharshi becoming a huge blockbuster.
