However, Gowtham Tinnanuri for all&nbsp; his sincere efforts and research committed small blunders which turnedout to be fateful. It is known that Nani during the film promos claimed that the film gives a better experience than Mr Perfectionist Amir Khan's Lagaan which even went to Oscars.
Lagaan gave movie lovers breathtaking live match on field cricket experience with powerful expressions and emotions not only among the actors playing cricket but also the villagers , it also made viewers part of it. Gowtham Tinnanuri failed to come up with similar expressions and emotions while Nani was seen playing battle of his life entering the cricket field.
When he enters the ground carrying bat after ten years gap, he is shown playing flawless cricket which is extremely impossible even to legends like Sir Donald Bradman and Cricket God Sachin Tendulkar. Viewers would have accepted it in any ordinary film but Jersey after coming up with such powerful realistic narration, it came as a shock.&nbsp;
In the film Arjun on his entry into the side does not face any problems, not even in the team meetings though once, captain Nandan Reddy apologizes. Those scenes could have been elevated by deleting few scenes with the comedians.
Even much to the shock of all, Gowtham Tinnanuri showed Ranji matches played in Day Night format which never happened. Viewers didnot get the live match appeal, be it Chennai-Hyderabad, Hyderabad-Goa and even the Ranji final Hyderabad-Mumbai. All looked like local club matches.&nbsp; Had he taken care of it before the film release, Jersey's power would have been universal.&nbsp;

Many such films came earlier but Subhash K Raj narrated it in a different manner trying to send message to the society.He showed father training his daughter to be brave and not to tolerate any injustice not only to the family but others in the society despite mother expressing her own fears. He also highlighted the importance of martial arts and how it will be helpful as a self defence system.He started the narration in &nbsp;a gripping manner and then the narration and screenplay turns racy throughout the first half. The first half ends in a decent manner setting the stage for the second half. The second half also treads in a similar manner but pace dips at times and due to few repetitive and dragged scenes. The climax too turns out to be weak.Arun Radhakrishnan's cinematography is good. He used the camera angles and color combinations to perfection do give a natural and realistic feel. All those things are routine and few hilarious scenes are just ok though they are nothing new.The first half ends with the revelation of the secrets of the protagonists and the entire second half is all about them proving their innocence. The director failed to connect the emotional chords and failed to establish how a small incidents lead to divorce. Few emotions are ok but the super heroes fights looked silly and didnot workout. He tried to load the second half with intense emotions but failed to do full justice to them.He ended few roles abruptly and didnot justify few characters in the film. He concentrated on the happenings in Varun's life and tried to surprise viewers.Though Jeethu Joseph tried to highlight the emotional complications and implications and also worked hard to maintain the thrill factor, viewers who watched the first two parts, feel everything is stretched and they could easily guess the next scenes and proceedings. They feel that Jeethu Joseph stretched the narration and the so called thrill factor to a point of no return. The slow pace in the first half tests the patience of the viewers. It is only during the runup to the interval block some sense of urgency is shown and few scenes increase the thrill factor.People expect a more interesting and intriguing second half. However the familiarity of the behavior of the characters robbed viewers of the novel feeling. Everything turns predictable be it the investigation sequences, emotional scenes and the pattern in unraveling the suspense. Balaji. He tried to entertain viewers by adding spiritual elements to a routine action entertainer with a message. For most of the first half, he spent time introducing various characters, establishing their problems and the proceedings in the court and elevate their emotions before introducing Suriya in an interesting and exciting manner. The slow pace tend to put off viewers as the scenes are predictable till the entry of Suriya.The narration picks up pace with the entry of Suriya and the spiritual elements generated curiosity. The conflict attracts all and though the interval block is routine, the first half ends on a decent note. When one expects a better second half, the narration turns cliched and screenplay goes for a toss. The comedy scenes looked outdated and dragged the narration to the next level.The pre climax is good but inspired by films like Kantara and Pushpa but lacked the strong emotions associated with them. RJ.Balaji followed the similar template in Veerabhadrudu which he did in Nayanthara's Mookuthi Amman except for few variations.The songs tuned by Sai Abhyankar had Tamil flavor. It is difficult to connect cords. His background score at times is good but at other times it turned out to be extremely loud. Kalaivanan's editing is ok but could have been far better. There are many scenes with tamil flavor and also repetitive scenes put off viewers. The cinematography of GK.Vishnnu is good. When he entered the industry his story telling turned out to be unique but he started using the same and followed the same using technological advances offering nothing new ending up testing the patience of the viewers.The narration lacks continuity and screenplay turned out to be bizzare and viewers are left wondering what he was upto. Though Dhruva Sarja worked hard, his character turned out to be loud. Reeshama Nanaiah is ok and Sanjay Dutt's character looked extremely awkward. As the narration progresses, the viewers interest wane and when the film ends, they heave a sigh of relief.The cinematography of William David added value to the narration turning it rich. However Arjun Janya's music failed with misplaced songs and also the background score turned out to be very jarry and loud. VFX turned out to be below average and the editing Sanketh Achar failed completely. What surprised all is they completely deleted the controversial song of Norah Fatehi. With the passage of time, even the artists on the screen seems to have lost interest in performing as they just passed through the motions.The story lacked novelty and after the unbearable first half, the second half turns up giving more torture.Climax to some extent comes with a shocking twist. Finally when the film ends, viewers will run towards the exit doors.Anand Gurrana's music is just ok. Songs placement are not in sync with the flow of the story.
