Chitralahari Close To Profit Zone

Supreme hero Sai Dharam Tej is not a notable star when it comes to USA box office. Even few of his super hit films bombed utterly in USA. Jawaan that minted nearly 194K was the highest grosser for SDT. Finally, he is set to score a hit with Chitralahari, after consecutive flops. The film is all set to enter profit zone in US very soon.

In its opening weekend, Chitralahari collected a gross of $235K (Rs 1.63 Cr) approximately. The film just needs to collect another $65K to become a profit maker for USA distributor. The Kishore Tirumala directorial minted $62,052, $59,387, $77,220 and $38k on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively.

The reason for failures of SDT’s previous films is that he always tried mass masala movies, which do not really interest the audience in the USA. After retrospection of his failures, he decided to experiment with his roles and stories of his movies. Coming to Chitralahari, it is a family drama, which is about a loser, who fails to get success at every stage of his life.

As per trade analysts, Chitralahari is holding well in Telugu states and other areas as well.
