Shock: Maharshi Can't Beat BAN in OS!

Prince Mahesh Babu is one among the few heroes who is enjoying phenomenal craze in the US. Some of his flop ventures also scored super hits in the territory. 

Mahesh Babu's ongoing film Maharshi is on the verge of its shoot to get wrapped up. One of the producers of the film, Dil Raju,, earlier, quoted Rs.18 crores for the Overseas rights. Since there had been no takes for the amount the film has to be sold out to Great India Films for Rs.11.50 crores. 

Much to everyone's shocker this is very less amount than the makers quoted before. Mahesh Babu's previous venture Bharat Ane Nenu was sold for Rs.18 crores. In spite of the film minted $3.5M the film struggled to reach break even. As such, the investors didn't wish to pay such a hefty price for Maharshi. 

Maharshi's Overseas rights include US and other parts of the world. This Vamsi Pydipally's directorial venture has Pooja Hegde in a female lead role.
