In what could be a huge shocker for former TDP MP Murali Mohan is that Rs. 2 crores belonged to him was seized by Cyberabad police. The police apprehended two persons at Hi-Tec city railway station, Madhapur who were carrying Rs.2 crores to Rajahmundry.
The Hyderabad CP Sajjanar made it clear that the money belonged to former MP Murali Mohan's Jayabheri properties.
It must be remembered that Murali Mohan stayed away from contesting in the poll battle this time and he was replaced by his daughter-in-law Maganti Roopa as an MP contestant from Rajahmundry parliamentary constituency for TDP. The money, that was seized, was intended to distribute among voters to get their votes cast in favour of TDP's MP candidate. A case against Murali Mohan and five others was booked by the Cyberabad police.
