Arjun Reddy is a game changer for most happening hero Vijay Devarakonda who was a small time hero before the release of Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial which did wonders at box office, besides winning critical accolades. Vijay put checkmate to all his contemporaries to grab top spot among medium range stars. Now, Vijay has become very choosy.

When filmmakers are approaching Vijay Devarakonda with a script, the very first thing the Genex Star asking them is genre of the film. If the subject is a message oriented one or it has protagonist giving lectures to others, he is strictly saying no to them. The fact is Vijay Devarakonda wants to do roles of his age. According to him, films that he will do need to have adequate entertainment, but not serious premise anywhere.

Of course, Vijay Devarakonda is doing experiments with different genre films. But, he is reluctant to do films which will not connect to his rowdy boys. Disastrous result of Dwaraka and NOTA is a big lesson for Vijay Devarakonda who decided to do films which will connect a chord with genex audience.

Right now, Vijay Devarakonda is busy with an untitled flick under Kranthi Madhav’s direction. He also has a sports backdrop film to be helmed by Anand Annamalai. Vijay Devarakonda’s other film Dear Comrade is scheduled for release in June. Besides these, he lined up few more films under prestigious banners. He is now a popular star in neighborhood states all well, so filmmakers are releasing his next films in other languages too.
