Expectations are increasing on Super Star Mahesh Babu's milestone 25th film Maharshi which is slated for a grand release on May 9th offering spectacular summer treat. Fans of Mahesh Babu are extremely confident that Maharshi will break all the existing records at the box office crossing Srimanthudu and Bharat Ane Nenu collections.
However, analysts are wondering whether Maharshi can accomplish mission impossible. Inside talk is Maharshi's budget reached around Rs 130 crs though the film is a social based commercial entertainer. This includes even hero and heroines remunerations. Discussions are on that Maharshi is made possible; thanks to three big producers coming together or else it would have been difficult for a single producer to take such enormous risk.
Many say this is a huge budget for a film with Maharshi's subject. Though the makers can recover around 40 crs through satellite and digital rights, Maharshi should recover 100 crs through its theatrical business. This is possible only if Maharshi breaks non Baahubali records. What is surprising all is the producers are demanding 5crs more than Mahesh's market rate for Ceded rights. Bharat Ane Nenu grossed Rs 10 crs mark with great difficulty and trade analysts wonder whether it will work out if Maharhi makers demand Rs 15 crs.
Since Nizam rights are acquired by one of the producers Dil Raju, it may workout for around Rs 18crs. Andhra and other region deals are getting inked. So it is not easy to get Rs 130 crs through pre release business. If Maharshi does not turn out to be Mahesh's career best, it is extremely difficult for the makers.
