Star writer Kona Venkat during his recent interaction with Sakshi made sensational comments on his close pal Pawan Kalyan for the latter making wayward claims on YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in recent times. Venkat said that he was a strong supporter of Pawan Kalyan in the past. But things have changed a lot ever since Pawan started slamming YS Jagan.

Kona Venkat termed Jagan as honest, Chandra Babu Naidu as corrupt and Pawan Kalyan as hatred. Today, Kona Venkat came up a statement to give clarity on his comments on Pawan Kalyan.

“Our family is taking part in active politics in our hometown Bapatla, even before I was born. As many of you know, our grandfather Kona Prabhakar Rao served several times as MLA, minister, assembly speaker, president of Congress party in united Andhra Pradesh and also worked as Governor for three states.

After my grandfather’s death, my uncle Kona Prabhakar Rao has been social service since 1995. In the process, he lost all his properties. Considering our family reputation and recognition for Mr Kona Prabhakar Rao in public, YS Jagan gave the opportunity to my uncle to contest on YSRCP in 2014. And he won the election.

I actively campaigned and gave full support to my uncle. After 1983, people of Bapatla had lent full support to our family once again in 2014. In this regard, my soul mate Pawan Kalyan also congratulated my uncle.

I openly supported Janasena Party after 2014 elections to extend my support and strengthen the party. I was assessed by YSRCP local cadre for the same. Nonetheless, as a well-wisher to Pawan Kalyan, I kept mum. I told them that, it was my personal. They should understand that, my personal and political loyalties are different.

YSRCP and YS Jagan is the only one believed in our party and encouraged us after 30 years. We can never forget this.

I cautioned Pawan Kalyan that, someone had misguided him regarding alliance with Mayavathi and Telangana issue. I didn’t understand why Pawan changed his voice, because he spoke optimistically about KCR, after meeting the Telangana CM recently. I wish that, our political ideologies, caste, religion, locality, economic status, should not become a cross wall for our friendship. I once again wholeheartedly wish him the best in his journey to achieve what he wants.”
