Director Preferred His Career Over Son’s

Director Puri Jagannadh made blockbusters with almost all the top stars in Telugu industry. But now, he is unable to convince star heroes to work with him. First of all, he is making only flops of late and he is coming up with routine subjects every time.

Puri Jagannadh re-introduced his son Akash Puri as hero with Mehbooba. Besides writing and directing the film, Puri also co-produced the film in association with Charmme Kaur. They made the film lavishly, but due to poor writing, it ended as an utter flop.

Puri Jagannadh in the meantime approached many star heroes, but showed interest to team up with him. Initially, hero Ram also did not want to work with Puri. But, he okayed Ismart Shankar only after listening to full script.

Actually, Puri penned the story for his son Akash. But, he has no producer to make the film with Akash who is yet to score his first hit. Thus, Puri decided to make the film with Ram who has an investor in form of his uncle Sravanthi Ravi Kishore. Though Puri and Charmme are co-producers, Ravi Kishore is the real investor.

On the flip side, Akash Puri who proved his acting mettle with Mehbooba is presently doing a film titled Romantic.
