Pawan Industry Hit Becomes Disaster!

Power Star Pawan Kalyan's family entertainer Athrarintiki Daredi was an industry hit then. Power Star's mind boggling performance and Trivikram's directorial prowess made the film a runaway hit then. 

Meanwhile, Athariniki Daredi was remade in Tamil as 'Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven'. Simbu acted as a protagonist while Megha Akash and Catherine Tresa sported female leads. Ramyakrishna essayed Nadhiya's role. 

AD's Tamil version, however, received poor ratings on day one of its release and minted below par collections. The film is likely to end up as a disaster in Tamil Nadu. 

Meanwhile, VRV was directed by Sundar C on Lyca Productions.
