Varun Tej Accepted On This Condition

It was a big surprise for many when the news of mega prince accepted to play antagonist in Harish Shankar’s latest venture Valmiki which is the official remake of Tamil hit Jigarthanda came out. The film was launched recently even though protagonist was not finalized; indicating Varun Tej’s will be major role than anybody else’s.

Harish Shankar wanted to rope in Siddharth who played the protagonist in the original. But, the Bommarillu actor did not show any interest. Sree Vishnu who is known for doing different genre films is said to have confirmed for protagonist in Valmiki.

It is heard that, Harish Shankar made many changes to script to lift up Varun Tej’s character and Sree Vishnu will not have any significance except for climax portions where big twist in the tale will be unveiled. This is the reason why Varun Tej accepted to play a negative role for the first time.
