Nani Jersey, Hollywood Inspiration

Natural Star Nani’s sports based entertainer Jersey under the direction of Gautam Tinnanuri with Shradda Srinath as heroine and music scored by Anirudh Ravichander got its teaser out couple of days back. 

Teaser showed Nani as a 36 year old cricketer trying to enter into the national team captured the immediate expectation. Meanwhile, cricket community says Jersey is largely inspired by the life of Indian cricketer Raman Lamba who scored runs heavily in Ranji Trophy before he went on to play for the country. At the same time, a section from Hollywood followers opined that Jersey is inspired from Hollywood film Invincible, a 2006 American sports drama film directed by Ericson Core. 

Invincible is true story of American Footballer Vince Papale (Mark Wahlberg) who at the age of 30 plus dreams of playing for the national team. Just the same, Nani dreams of National cricket at 36. Whatsoever, Nani is trying something new and wish for a positive result.
