Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's Peta was shown no interest by any distributor to release in Telugu states for Sankranthi season sensing that there would be a big threat from Telugu films.

Finally, Ashok Vallabhaneni acquired theatrical rights with an economical price of Rs.12 crores. Nevertheless, having gone through the collections trend, the said amount itself is a big number to be recovered.
