Tamil Hero Replaces Vijay Devarakonda

Vijay Devarakonda emerged as most sought after actors in Tollywood after Arjun Reddy and his fame only augmented post the super success of Geetha Govindam and Taxiwala. Currently, he is busy shooting for Dear Comrade under the direction of Bharat Kamma. Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady.

From last few days, there have been numerous reports about Vijay Devarakonda’s Bollywood debut. In fact, star maker Karan Johar is keen to introduce the young and happening hero in Bollywood. He was also approached to play veteran Indian opening batsman Krishnamachari Srikkanth, who was a part of Indian cricket team to win the Cricket World Cup for the first time in 1983, in the film 83 to be directed by Kabir Khan. Ranveer Singh will reprise Kapil Dev, Captain of Indian Team then.

Recently, makers of 83 came up with a clarification that, Vijay Devarakonda will not be part of the film. Seems like, they have now find a replacement for Vijay. Tamil hero Jiiva who is struggling with flops is almost finalized to play Srikkanth. However, an official confirmation is awaited.

They are planning to release 83 on April 20th in 2020 on the eve of Good Friday.
