Like many young heroes with no film background, Vijay Devarakonda too did supporting roles during initial days of his film career. He was seen in a small role in films like Nuvvila, Life Is Beautiful and did a second lead in Nani starrer and Nag Ashwin directed Yevade Subrahmanyam.

Vijay Devarakonda then became a crazy star after scoring super hits with Pelli Choopulu, Arjun Reddy, Mahanati and Geetha Govindam. In fact, his role in Mahanati was brief. He accepted to be part of this very special film of his close friend who provided him a break with Yevade Subrahmanyam

Apparently, Vijay Devarakonda has decided not to do ‘supporting’ or special roles in other hero films, if they do not have scope for him to make his presence felt. In recent times, Vijay not just one but refused two films.

Vijay was allegedly approached to play a supporting role in stylish star Allu Arjun’s next with Trivikram Srinivas. However, he is said to have refused as his role is more or less typical her friend role with no significance at all.

Vijay was reportedly offered to play India’s star opener Krishnamachari Srikanth in sports drama film 83 that will feature Ranveer Singh playing Kapil Dev who led Indian Team that won 1983 World Cup.

Nonetheless, Vijay Devarakonda who wants to make his debut in Bollywood with a full length role has refused the ‘golden opportunity’.

As is known, Karan Johar is willing to introduce Vijay Devarakonda under his Dharma Productions Banner with Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor essaying his love interest.

Seems like, Vijay has become so stubborn of late that he without second thought could reject ‘big offers’.
