NTR Single Deal: Half Budget Recovered

Ever since the entry of streaming portals like Amazon, Hotstar and Netflix, producers are pocketing additional revenues. In fact, they are enjoying huge revenues than that of what they are obtaining through satellite rights. 

Demand for star hero films is massive for digital streaming rights, though early telecasting is affecting box office collections which indeed is not a concern for producers as it is a bothersome only for buyers or exhibitors.

Meanwhile, Amazon inked a great deal with makers of a highly anticipated film. Digital rights of Balakrishna’s prestigious project- NTR biopic two parts NTR: Kathanayakudu, NTR: Mahanayakudu were sold to Amazon Prime Video for all the languages for a whopping Rs 25 Crores.

With this deal, half of the film’s budget has been recovered. Balakrishna who is co-producing NTR biopic in association with Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri is spending nearly Rs 50 crores on the project.

Directed by Krish, NTR biopic is expected to make remarkable pre-release business, highest in Balakrishna’s career, owing to buzz on the project. In fact, prospects are multiplied after release of the film’s trailer. So, Balakrishna and his partners will be pocketing huge profits with the very special film which will have its first part to be released on January 9th.
