Ram Charan had a complete transformation with Chittibabu role in Rangasthalam, Not only his makeover which consisted of bushy beard, thick moustache and attires of a village from Telugu states, but also his emotion and innosense mixed performance in a partly deaf character and his Godavari districts' dialect made every audience enthralled in theatres.
Thenseforward, Ram Charan is lauded as the 'Hero of the Year'.At the box office, Rangasthalam stood as an industry hit (non BB) minting Rs.127 crores world wide share.
On the other hand, Rangasthalam and Vinaya Vidheya Rama's pre release theatrical business has been valued close to Rs.200 crores which further betokens Mega Power Star's status this year, as the best hero of the year.
Among other heroes, Vijay Deverakonda with two big hits Geetha Govindam and Taxiwala, Young Tiger NTR in Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava and Prince Mahesh Babu in Bharat Ane Nenu impressed the audience with their performances.
