Review 2018: Hit Films and Their Statuses

Tollywood recorded a poor percentage of Hits in 2018. Yet, some of the runaway Hits made the producers and buyers get elated. Following is the list of hit films and their exact statuses at the box office. Averages and Above averages were also included in the list. 

INDUSTRY HIT: Mega Power Star Ram Charan's Rangasthalam was made with Rs.50+ crores budget and had done theatrical pre release business Rs.82 crores. The film registered a humongous long run and minted Rs.127 crores world wide share which is said to be an all time record (non Baahubali). As a result, the film stood as an industry hit of Tollywood. 

BLOCKBUSTERS: Vijay Deverakonda's Geetha Govindam amazed movie lovers collecting a share of Rs.70+ crores in its full run. The film was lauded as quadruple blockbuster given its investment and collections ratio. Keerthi Suresh's Mahanati not only accumulated huge shares at ticket windows but also received accolades from critics. Ajay Bhupathi and Payal Rajput's RX100 was a sensational blockbuster. Adivi Sesh's Goodhachari also became a blockbuster. 

SUPER Hits: Anushka's Bhagamathie, Naga Shaurya's Chalo, Mega Prince Varun Tej's Tholiprema and Vijay Deverakonda's Taxiwala became super Hits. 

Hits: Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna's Jai Simha collected Rs.28 crores share and had a place in hit films category. 

ABOVE AVERAGES: Prince Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu's pre release business was done for Rs.99 crores while the film collected Rs.92 crores world wide theatrical share in its full run. Though the film suffered minor losses in a few areas, it got good collections in most of the areas and stood as an above average. Young Tiger NTR's Aravinda Sametha did a pre biz Rs.91 crores and collected around Rs.85 crores share world wide. The film became an above average venture. Critically acclaimed movie C/o Kancharapalem became an above average venture. 

AVERAGES: Nani's production venture Awe and Sudheer Babu's Sammohanam fell under averages category.

DUBBED Hits: Avengers Infinity War span big money at the box office. Jurassic Park the Fallen Kingdom and Sarkar are other Hits.
