Small Films Saved Tollywood In 2018

Tollywood witnessed many star heroes films and few of them like Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu, Ram Charan's Rangasthalam did well but others like Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi and Allu Arjun's Naa Peru Surya gave a huge shock. Under these circumstances small films saved Tollywood from the blushes.

Small films which showed power include Geetha Govindam, RX100, Goodhachari, Sammohanam, Taxiwala and Tholi Prema to name a few. Even experimental films like Awe and Needi Nadi Oke Katha won the appreciation of the critics. 

Geetha Govindam with Vijay Devarakonda, Rashimka Mandanna under the direction of Parasuram, stole the hearts of all and turned out to be 100 crs grosser.

RX100 with Karthikeya and Payal Rajput directed by Ajay Bhuyan created a tsunami with the bold take on young girl's mindset. Naga Shourya's Chalo impressed all and Varun Tej, Rashi Khann's Tholi Prema stole the hearts of all. Sudheer Babu, Aditi Rao Hydari's Sammohanam attracted all.

Spy thrillers are a rarity and Adivi Sesh's Goodhachari created a sensation giving a thrilling experience. Nani who turned producer with Awe gave a novel feeling. Vijay Devarakonda's Taxiwala, despite getting leaked online a month before its release, showed its power at the box office. Needi Naadi Oke Katha impressed critics and same is the case with C/O Kancherapalam.
