Lately, it was buzzed that Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's forthcoming film Petta Telugu versions' theatrical rights were acquired by noted Telugu producer C Kalyan. Since there has been a huge rush of Telugu straight films which are set to hit screens for Sankranthi season, C Kalyan was heard have forced Petta makers to get Telugu version's release pushed to either 25 January or February 1.
However, C Kalyan, himself, cleared all rumours in his latest press note. He said he had neither acquired film's rights nor asked the film's team to postpone Telugu version.
Rajini's recent films including 2.0 have been failed in Telugu states. As a result, there has been the least buzz prevailed on Petta at Tollywood's trade.
Petta was directed by Karthik Subbaraj under Sun Pictures. Simran and Trisha played lady leads.
