Tamil actor and producer Vishal, President of the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC), was detained by the police in Chennai today after he attempted to open the office. Few producers of rival group had locked up the office yesterday demanding Vishal's resignation alleging that the office funds were misused and many promises were not fulfilled.
Meanwhile, Vishal reacted strongly and said no one can stop him. “Targeting me for a simple reason that I want to do good for producers who have lost everything, well I wil continue to do this no matter what. My conscience is Clear,God & Truth is on my side & I will continue to march ahead. NO ONE CAN STOP ME FROM CONDUCTING ILLAYARAJA SIR EVENT.”
Vishal nurtures political ambitions. Last year, his hopes of contesting in the by-elections in Chennai's RK Nagar, which was earlier represented by J Jayalalithaa, came crashing down after his nomination was rejected. Recently, he hinted at contesting the by-elections in Madurai's Tiruparangundram whenever the dates are announced.
He also landed in controversy after first look poster of his next film, remake of Telugu super hit Temper was released. In the first look poster, Vishal was seen carrying a beer bottle.
