India’s ace badminton player Pv Sindhu, Olympic silver medalist, made history by becoming the first Indian to win the BWF World Tour Finals. She beat Japan’s leading player Nozomi Okuhara with 21-19, 21-17 in the final to claim her first title of the year.
Pv Sindhu indeed had a tough time this year as she didn’t win even a single title losing five finals but she ends the year on a high with a historic win. She has recorded her 300th career match victory across categories. This is Sindhu’s 14th career title and first season-ending title.
Last year, Sindhu had lost a final to Okuhara in the World Championships and that was a classic but today, she was on top at almost all times.
