2.0 Can't Come Near to Rangasthalam Anywhere

Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth's 2.0 is continuing its below par performance with its Telugu version. As we reported earlier, the film collected a share of Rs.47+ crores in Telugu states at the end of its second weekend's run. Besides, the film needs Rs.25 crores more to reach break even which seems to be a Herculean task at the moment. 

In the meanwhile, it was initially thought that 2.0 would beat Rangasthalam's collections in Telugu states. But then, Rangasthalam collected a share of Rs.94 crores in Telugu states setting a high bench mark among non Baahubali series films. Comparatively, 2.0 collected just half to RGS. 

It was also thought 2.0 might beat RGS collections in Nizam area. In Nizam alone, RGS collected Rs.28.75 crores while 2.0 accumulated Rs.21.60 crores and the film hardly adds up Rs.2 crores more in the territory. 

Though 2.0 is doing below par performance with its Telugu and Tamil versions, it has become a big hit in North India.
