KJo Respects Rajamouli, Ignores Shankar

SS Rajamouli directed Baahubali two part series that starred young rebel star Prabhas and hot hunk Rana Daggubati was a runaway hit in Bollywood as well, thanks to Karan Johar without whom, the film wouldn’t have reached such milestones in north states where south films are refused absolutely.

Karan Johar who released Baahubali in Bollywood had attended the film’s audio release function in Hyderabad then. He invited the entire team to Mumbai to promote the film there. Karan Johar is still continuing the affable relationship with Rajamouli, even after such long time after the release of Baahubali.

Rajamouli along with his Baahubali actors Prabhas and Rana were invited for KJo’s TV show Kofee With Karan season 6 and the show is expected to break all TRPs as entire nation is awaiting to watch it.

Karan Johar is also planning to acquire Hindi rights of SS Rajamouli’s new film RRR with mega power star Ram Charan and young tiger NTR.

Interestingly, Karan Johar who shares good affiliation with Rajamouli is completely ignoring other star south director Shankar whose latest release 2.0 starring super star Rajinikanth and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar was released by the Bollywood filmmaker as well.

Karan Johar who bought 2.0 Hindi rights for nearly 75 crores will be pocketing heavy profits with the film as it is running successfully in its second week.

Surprisingly, KJo is giving least importance to Shankar. Neither is he inviting the director or the other team for promotions in Mumbai, nor is he going Chennai to take part in promotions, although he still maintains healthy relationship with Rajamouli. 

Analysts feel that, KJo announced his priorities by inviting Baahubali team for his famous show, rather than inviting 2.0 which would have helped boost in movie collections.
