An actor needs a strong background to sustain for long time in the industry and also to gain commercial hero or star hero tag. Producer Bellamkonda Suresh is making desperate attempts to make his son Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas a commercial hero. But, all his efforts are turning futile with the young hero failing to score his first commercial success.
Bellamkonda Srinivas’s launch pad film Alludu Seenu directed by VV Vinayak had collected nearly Rs 25 Cr for full run which is a great attainment for a debutante. But, owing to high investment, the film ended as a flop.
Srinivas then scored string of flops with Speedunnodu, Jaya Janaki Nayaka and Saakshaym which all were made on massive budgets. His latest outing Kavacham helmed by first timer Sreenivas Mamilla too has received negative talk from critics and audience alike. The film is expected to end as another flop for Bellamkonda Srinivas.
Bellamkonda Suresh’s dream of making his son a star hero is costing bomb for producers. He is insisting producers of his son’s films to invest huge budgets and he is helping them to get finances from financiers.
Bellamkonda Suresh is also insisting producers to rope in star heroines and noted character artists. Kajal Agarwal and Mehreen Kaur are heroines in Kavacham. They affirmed to have made Kavacham on moderate budget. But, after watching grandness in film, one can easily observe lavish budget spent on the film.
As is known, Kajal who is one of the most paid heroines in south is romancing Srinivas for the second time in his untitled film in Teja’s direction. It is also learnt that, Bellamkonda is blocking top heroines dates by paying them additional remuneration other than what they are paid for star hero films.
Teja’s film is last option for Bellamkonda Srinivas. If this film gets unexpected result, then it is tough for Suresh to find a producer for his son’s next movie!
