3.0: Shankar To Cheat Rajini Fans!

2.0 released amidst huge expectations, but the film failed to please all section of audience. Much to the disappointment of super star Rajinikanth’s fans, the film didn’t show him in dominating role like in Robot. While, it was Chitti played by Rajinikanth stole the show with his witty as well as villainy acts in Robot, until last 30 minutes, Rajini’s role as Vaseekaran and Chitti were given least importance.

There were reports post release of Robot that, body double was used for Chitti role as Rajinikanth was not fit enough to perform the risky stunts. However, it was Pakshi Raja played by Akshay Kumar dominated the show in 2.0. In fact, the last 30 minutes where Rajini showed his nata vishwaroopam as 2.0 and Chinni- 3.0 was the saving grace of the film.

Introducing the role of Chinni, Shankar hinted about his plans of making next sequel titled 3.0 to Robot. But, Rajinikanth who is keen to venture into direct politics is not willing to do many films. He will hardly do 2 to 3 more films overall before bidding adieu to the industry in one to 2 years.

It is heard that, Shankar has put a proposal before Rajinikanth. As per the proposal, Rajini should shoot for only Vaseekaran episodes and the scenes involving Chinni will be canned using motion capture technology. Rajini is yet to make his decision on this. But, if Rajini will give his nod, it will be no less than cheating his fans!
