Until now former Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal was hailed as Andhra Octopus. The reason is pretty clear to all. Lagadapati was habituated to conduct political surveys and would disclose those results to media. With everyone's amazement, his surveys were proved right in almost all the cases. It was said Lagadapati would spend huge money to make his surveys more credible.
But it was the past. Lagadapati appeared to have been in a state of dormancy for the past four years in politics. However, political circles have made it clear that Lagadapati had been in very god terms with AP CM Chandrababu Naidu on caste biased grounds and to expand his business to Amaravati.
In the wake of TDP joined hands with the Congress party and formed Peoples Front in Telangana, the party's chief CBN is heard to have requested Lagadapati to conduct surveys which would favour Praja Kootami in Telangana.
As a result, Lagadapati started revealing his survey results to media. He said TRS and Congress party would win one MLA seat each while 8 more seats would be bagged by independents whom Lagadapati termed as rebels.
Had Lagadapati's survey been genuine, he would have disclosed the results of all constituencies at once. But then, he said he would reveal 2 winners each everyday which throws suspicions among political circles.
All in all, Lagadapati appeared to have lost credibility with his surveys due to CBN.
